ISL is an expert in the development of nuclear system codes. ISL offers its clients a world-class graded Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA) program balancing technical, financial and quality assurance requirements while providing deliverables of high quality. ISL takes the initiative to ensure a disciplined approach to software engineering and quality assurance over the entire software development lifecycle.
ISL currently supports the maintenance and development of computer software and analysis systems for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC), Department of Energy (DOE), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). Software packages supported include RELAP5, RADTRAD, TRACE, PARCS, FAST and BlueCRAB. These codes are currently used for best-estimate analyses of nuclear reactor accidents and transients, and to simulate thermal-hydraulic and neutronic responses of complex nuclear power systems, including those found in nuclear power plants and test facilities, during transient and accident scenarios.
