Gail Taylor-Smith is President and CEO of Information Systems Laboratories, Inc. (ISL), bringing more than 35 years of proven leadership in technology, strategy, and business development across the aerospace and defense industry. She has served on ISL’s Board of Directors since 2019 and continues to guide the company’s mission of delivering high-fidelity modeling, simulation, and advanced technology solutions for mission-critical applications. 

Prior to ISL, Ms. Taylor-Smith held senior executive roles at The Boeing Company and HRL Laboratories, LLC. Throughout her career, she has led large-scale research and development organizations managing portfolios exceeding $115 million in government and internal investments. She is recognized as a change agent, driving process innovations that improved program execution, enhanced technology transition, and secured higher government award fees. She also played a pivotal role in developing critical technical capabilities to sustain system-level competitiveness and was honored by AFRL and ONR for championing the integration of small business innovation into major defense programs. 

Ms. Taylor-Smith’s leadership has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Joe Sanders Leadership Award from Hughes Space and Communications, the Engineering and Technology Excellence Award from Boeing Phantom Works, and Boeing Supplier Diversity’s Executive Supplier Advocate Growth Educator (SAGE) Award. 

She holds a B.S. in Engineering from UCLA and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from USC. Her professional development includes completion of the Government-Industry Program Managers Development Course, executive business training at UCLA and USC, and advanced leadership programs. Beyond her corporate career, she is a certified Energy Codes Coach and author of Love Yourself, Love Your Life, reflecting her passion for empowerment and inclusive leadership. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her rescue dogs Layla and Tiger.
